Then after the First Battle of Bull Run, Barton was given a pass by General William Hammond to ride in army ambulances to provide comfort to the soldiers, at first without success. Finally, on August 3, she obtained permission to travel to the front lines, eventually reaching some of the grimmest battlefields of the war and serving during the Siege of Petersburg and Richmond, Virginia.

Manifest Destiny Study Questions
1) What was Manifest Destiny? the 19th-century doctrine or belief that the expansion of the U.S. throughout the American continents was both justified and inevitable.

Scene IV Macbeth
1.) What is Malcolm's description of Cawdor's execution?
He died throwing away the dearest thing he owed. He goes bravely to his death without crying or wining and approaches death without fear. Duncan says that you cannot trust anyone by looks alone and was Cawdor was the person closest to the king.
